What Is Botox®?

Botox® is a quick, easy injectable that helps relax the muscles that cause lines to appear over time, especially from things like frowning, squinting, or raising your brows. When done right, it smooths those areas out while keeping your face full of life.

We typically use Botox® to soften:

• Forehead lines
• Frown lines between the eyebrows (the “11s”)
• Crow’s feet around the eyes
• Bunny lines on the nose
• Chin dimples (“chinulite”)

It can also be used to:

• Create a lip flip for a subtle lift to expose more of the top lip
• Relax masseter muscles that contribute to a squared off jawline
• Treat platysmal bands, aka the neck bands, that pull down the lower face and accentuate the jowls
• Lift downturned corners of the mouth
• Raise the tip of the nose by relaxing the muscle that pulls it downward as we age

Think of it as a little pause button for your most expressive muscles—just enough to help you look fresh and relaxed without losing your spark.

What to Expect During Your Appointment

Botox® is a fast appointment—most treatments take about 10–20 minutes.

Here’s what your Botox® experience at dermaSpalogy looks like:

• You’ll arrive at a clean, relaxed space
• We’ll listen closely to what you want—and don’t want
• The treatment itself is quick, with just a few pinches
• You’ll walk out with nothing but a little glow and maybe a small pink spot or two (gone within minutes)

You’ll start to see results within a few days, and full results settle in around day 7 to 10. They’ll last about 3 months, and when you’re ready for a touch-up, we’ll be here.
